Alyssa & Luie

Alyssa & Luie got married on October 10, 2025 in Martinez, CA. My son grew up with Alyssa and Luie, so they’ve been hanging out at my house since middle school. It’s a wild feeling when your kids’ friends start getting married, and I had so much fun as a guest at their wedding, dancing like a dork with all the kids and their parents.

I live in Crockett, about 15 minutes away from Martinez. Crockett is a quiet, quirky little waterfront village just off I-80, and there’s an even tinier town between Martinez and Crockett called Port Costa, where Bull Valley Roadhouse - one of my favorite restaurants - is located.

Bull Valley hosts weddings and private events, you can buy out the entire space or do a partial buyout and select your meal from their delicious events menu, and I’d had an autumnal styled shoot in mind there for quite a while. So, just a couple days after their wedding, Alyssa and Luie, photographer Jenna Salvagin, and I gathered at Bull Valley for a beautiful shoot centered on the moody vintage vibes of the space and autumnal abundance.
